A lightweight, powerful pair of tools for preparing beautiful fiber—crafted from stunning Curly Maple. Hand crafted from premium highly figured Curly Maple heads with Maple handles, this limited edition matched pair is perfect for straightening fibers, removing debris, and creating smooth, aligned top ready for spinning. At just 6-7 ounces per comb, they're comfortable for extended combing sessions while being built tough enough to handle any fiber type. These are the same high-quality combs I make from Maple, only crafted from highly figured and very eye-catching Curly Maple. The premium wood costs $125 per board foot, which is why each pair is $25 more than standard combs—but the stunning beauty and uniqueness make them worth every penny. Combing fiber can be relaxing and is a great hands-on experience, and doing it with these beautiful tools makes it even more special.

The wood is hand rubbed with an eco-friendly Danish oil using a dip and drip technique that allows the oil to penetrate deeper than standard application, sanded and then repeated until smooth. The heads of the combs are linearly matched for consistent performance. These would not be suitable to comb a living sheep 🐑. Baaa!

• Usage Instructions: Hold combs by ergonomic handles during use. Always handle tines with care. Use protective covers when combs are not in use or during storage and transport. If tines become bent or damaged, discontinue use and contact manufacturer.
• Care and Maintenance: Wipe wooden bodies clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Check tines regularly for damage or bending. Reapply Danish Oil finish as needed to maintain wood. Store in a dry environment with protective covers in place.
• Disposal Instructions: Combs are made from durable materials including hardwood (curly maple, maple), stainless steel tines, and Danish Oil finish. Wood bodies may be recyclable or compostable depending on local guidelines. Stainless steel tines should be recycled as scrap metal. Dispose of responsibly according to local waste regulations.
