Refund policy

I have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Unless otherwise noted, Spinning Wheel Drive Bands, drive band material, and special orders, custom, or personalized items are not eligible for returns or refunds. I'm proud to make fiber tools for anyone who wants one, and I appreciate your business — but if there is ever any reason you are not satisfied with the quality and craftsmanship of your tool, please don't hesitate to reach out.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unopened or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. All returns are subject to inspection and approval at my sole discretion.

To start a return, contact me at jason@rileywoodandfiberart.com. If your return is accepted, I'll provide a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package. The cost of the return shipping label will be deducted from your refund. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Refunds are processed within 2-3 days of receiving your returned item.

Unless the return is due to an error on my part (such as receiving the wrong or defective item), return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and will be deducted from the refund amount. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to my error.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact me within 5 days of delivery if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that I can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

In addition to items mentioned above, I cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have within the 30-day return window, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds

I'll notify you once I've received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded to your original payment method, minus the cost of the return shipping label. Please allow some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund to your account.

I reserve the right to refuse returns from customers who demonstrate a pattern of excessive or abusive return behavior.


Delivery Responsibility

Once an order has been shipped and marked as delivered by the carrier to the address provided at checkout, Riley Wood and Fiber Art is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misdelivered packages.

Riley Wood and Fiber Art is not responsible for packages stolen after delivery.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address. Orders shipped to incorrectly provided addresses are not eligible for replacement or refund.

Packages returned due to incorrect addresses, refused delivery, or failure to collect from the carrier are not eligible for refund of original shipping costs.


European Union 14 Day Cooling Off Period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. Your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise required by law.


Fraud Prevention & Chargebacks

To protect my customers and my small business from fraudulent transactions, Riley Wood and Fiber Art actively monitors orders for signs of fraud.

Fraud Prevention

  • I use fraud detection tools and manual order review.

  • Orders flagged as high risk may be delayed, canceled, or refunded.

  • I may request additional verification.

  • Orders shipping to addresses different from billing may require verification.

  • I reserve the right to cancel any order suspected of fraud.

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If a chargeback or payment dispute is filed:

  • I will submit order documentation, shipping confirmation, delivery tracking, and communication to the payment processor.

  • Fraudulent chargebacks may be reported to the appropriate financial institution.

  • Customers who file fraudulent disputes may be refused future service.

Digital Products

Digital products (such as patterns) are delivered electronically upon purchase. Once download access has been provided, the order is considered fulfilled.

All digital sales are final. Download access logs may be used as proof of fulfillment in disputes.


Shipping Confirmation

For orders over $150, I may require signature confirmation upon delivery.
