About Our Products

Are your products all natural?
Yes! Our tools are made using ethically sourced natural wood and finished with eco-friendly products whenever possible. We take pride in creating functional fiber tools designed to be used and cherished for lifetimes.

What types of wood do you use?
I work with a variety of premium hardwoods including maple, walnut, cherry, purpleheart, and other beautiful domestic and exotic woods. Each wood type offers unique grain patterns, colors, and characteristics. Product listings specify the wood type for each tool.

How do I choose the right Turkish spindle size?
Mini spindles are perfect for fine fibers and travel, medium spindles are the most versatile all-purpose size, and mega spindles are ideal for thick fibers and art yarns. If you're unsure, medium is a great starting point for most spinners.

How do I care for my wooden fiber tools?
Wipe tools with a soft, dry cloth after use. Avoid soaking in water or exposing to extreme temperatures. Occasionally, you can apply a small amount of food-safe mineral oil or beeswax to maintain the finish and protect the wood.

Do you offer custom orders or personalization?
Yes! I'm happy to discuss custom wood selections, sizing, or special requests. Email me at jason@rileywoodandfiberart.com to discuss your project.

Is your packaging recyclable?
We strive to use recyclable and eco-friendly packaging whenever possible. Please note that some packing materials (such as tape) may not be accepted in all local recycling programs, so we recommend checking your local guidelines.


Shipping

When will my order ship?
Orders placed Monday through Saturday typically ship the same day if placed before 9:45 AM PST. Orders placed after that time ship the following business day. Orders placed on Sundays or holidays ship the next business day.

Shipping methods include USPS Ground Advantage, USPS Priority Mail, or DHL depending on the situation.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free shipping is available on qualifying orders. Drive band material ships for $2.50 unless your order qualifies for free shipping.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes! I ship worldwide. International customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, or fees. Shipping times vary by destination.

What if my tracking shows "delivered" but I don't see my package?
Once an order is marked as delivered by the carrier to the address provided at checkout, Riley Wood & Fiber Art is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. If this happens, please contact your local carrier first. We are happy to provide tracking information to assist.

Do you require signatures on delivery?
For higher-value orders, we may require signature confirmation upon delivery.


Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return window on eligible items. Items must be unused, in original packaging, and approved prior to return.

Spinning wheel drive bands, acetate tape / drive band material, custom or personalized items, sale items, and digital products are not eligible for return.

Who pays return shipping?
Unless the return is due to our error, return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.

What if I received a damaged or defective item?
I stand behind the quality of every tool I make. If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact me within 7 days of delivery with photos. I'll make it right with a replacement or refund.

What if I entered the wrong shipping address?
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. Orders shipped to incorrectly provided addresses are not eligible for replacement or refund.

Packages returned due to incorrect addresses, refused delivery, or failure to collect from the carrier are not eligible for refund of original shipping costs.


Digital Products

Do you offer refunds on digital patterns?
No. Digital products are delivered electronically upon purchase and are non-refundable once download access has been provided.

How do I access my digital downloads?
After purchase, you'll receive an email with a download link. You can also access your downloads from your account dashboard on our website.


Wholesale & Bulk Orders

Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Yes! I work with fiber shops, guilds, and retailers. Please visit our Wholesale Inquiries page or email jason@rileywoodandfiberart.com for more information.

Can I place a bulk order for my guild or workshop?
Absolutely! I'm happy to work with fiber guilds, teachers, and workshop organizers. Contact me to discuss quantities, timing, and any special requirements.


Fraud & Chargebacks

What happens if I file a chargeback?
We submit order documentation, tracking, and delivery confirmation to payment processors. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in refusal of future service.
