     For $5 I will join the Drive Band Material for you, if you’re not comfortable doing it, I will need the exact length of the drive band that you are wanting to replace. Simply choose the length you need; I will cut it and get it shipped out to you the same day, unless Sunday. Upgrade your spinning wheel with high-quality polyurethane drive band material, sold by the foot for a custom fit.

     Instructions for joining your Drive Band material: Light a candle after you have your drive band cut to the exact length you need. Holding the ends of the drive band with no kink in it or any winding on itself. You will have approximately 1/2"-3/4" sticking outside of your fingers and facing inwards towards the candle flame. it gets hot fast and will melt if you're not careful, so be careful not to touch the end of the drive band to the flame. So, you are holding it close to but not touching the flame itself. When you see it start to shine and become hot enough to join, simply put the ends together as carefully and perfectly as possible. Hold it there for 30 seconds to a minute until the material has cooled. The last step would be to take a pair of flush cutters and trim off the little bit of squeeze out that occurred when you joined the ends. it kind of makes a seam and you'll want to trim as flush to the outside diameter of the drive band material as possible.
