🎉 Pre-Order Now — Ships by July 31, 2026

I'm currently taking pre-orders on the Raddle. These are being handcrafted now and will ship no later than July 31, 2026. Order today to be among the first to get yours. I'll keep you updated every step of the way, and as always, I'm just a message away if you have any questions.

A raddle built for weavers who want their warp under control — every step of the way.

The Raddle is one of those tools that quietly makes everything else easier. It keeps your warp ends separated, counted, and manageable throughout the warping process — so you can focus on the weaving, not the untangling.

Available in three sizes — 12", 18", and 24" — so you can choose the working width that best fits your loom, your space, and the projects you make most often. The 12" raddle is a great choice for narrower warps, smaller looms, rigid heddle projects, and compact studio setups. The 18" raddle gives you a versatile middle option for many everyday weaving projects. The 24" raddle is ideal for wider warps, larger looms, or weavers who want extra room for future projects.

Each size uses the same 1" nail spacing, locking dowel system, mounting holes, and overall design, so the choice mostly comes down to the width you expect to use most. A smaller raddle can still be used on a wider loom for narrow warps, and a larger raddle can still be used on a smaller loom when extra working width is helpful.

Built with the same attention to craft as every tool that leaves my bench, it's designed to be a working part of your studio — not a drawer accessory.

Key Features:

  • ✓ Nails spaced 1" on center with ½" between rows — separate any number of warp ends you choose for precise, manageable groupings
  • ✓ Maple locking dowel (3/8") wedges tighter between the rows of nails as you pull it upward — stays put even if bumped or knocked
  • ✓ Rubber bands included as a secondary warp end retention method for added peace of mind
  • ✓ Two ¼" holes on the ends for securing to your loom's front or back beam using Studio Hooks or a C-clamp
  • ✓ Available in 12" (1.25" × 16" body), 18" (1.25" × 22" body), and 24" (1.25" × 26" body) sizes
  • ✓ Choose the size that best fits your most common warp width — 12" for narrower work, 18" for a balanced middle option, or 24" for wider projects and future loom upgrades
  • ✓ Every corner finished with a 45° chamfer for a smooth, refined feel in hand
  • ✓ Made from premium hardwood with the same exacting standards as every tool that leaves my bench
  • ✓ Proudly handcrafted in America

Keep Your Warp Ends Where You Put Them.

Anyone who has walked away from a half-warped loom — only to return to a tangle of yarn courtesy of a curious cat, a wandering child, or just gravity — knows exactly why a raddle matters. The nails separate your warp ends into whatever groupings make sense for your project. The maple dowel drops in across the top and, as you pull it upward, it wedges itself tighter between the rows of nails. It doesn't rattle loose. It doesn't get bumped off. Your warp stays exactly where you left it.

How to Use:

Secure the raddle to your loom's front or back beam, or to the edge of a table, using Studio Hooks through the ¼" holes on the ends. You can also secure it with a C-clamp or use it freestanding for lighter-duty setups. If you're warping a smaller loom on a table, simply having the raddle nearby to keep your warp ends separated and under control can be a real benefit on its own.

Distribute your warp ends between the nails in whatever groupings suit your project. The 1" nail spacing gives you flexibility to separate any number of ends you choose. Once your ends are in place, slide the maple dowel across the top and pull it upward between the rows of nails until it locks firmly in position. Add rubber bands for extra security if needed. Your warp ends are now separated, counted, and ready for the next step.

What Size Raddle Should I Choose?

The 12" raddle is a great choice for narrower warps, smaller looms, rigid heddle projects, and compact studio setups.

The 18" raddle is the most versatile middle option. It gives you more working width than the 12" without taking up as much space as the 24", making it a strong everyday choice for many weavers.

The 24" raddle is best for wider warps, larger looms, and weavers who want the most room for future projects.

All three sizes use the same nail spacing, locking dowel system, mounting holes, and overall design.

What's Included:

12" raddle: hardwood body (1.25" × 16") with nails spaced 1" on center, maple locking dowel (3/8"), and rubber bands.

18" raddle: hardwood body (1.25" × 22") with nails spaced 1" on center, maple locking dowel (3/8"), and rubber bands.

24" raddle: hardwood body (1.25" × 26") with nails spaced 1" on center, maple locking dowel (3/8"), and rubber bands.

Care & Storage:

Wipe clean with a dry cloth after use. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. Store flat when not in use. A well-cared-for hardwood tool will last for years of studio use.

Frequently Asked Questions — Raddle

The Raddle is available in two sizes — 12" and 24". The 12" raddle (1.25" × 16" body) suits narrower looms and smaller projects, while the 24" raddle (1.25" × 26" body) handles wider looms and larger warps. Both use the same nail spacing, locking dowel system, and mounting holes.

The raddle has two ¼" holes on the ends for securing it to your loom's front or back beam using hackle hooks, or to the edge of a table using a C-clamp. Either method gives you a solid, stable base while you distribute your warp ends.

The maple dowel (3/8") drops in across the top of the nails and locks in place as you pull it upward — it wedges tighter between the rows of nails the higher it goes. Once locked, it won't rattle loose or get bumped off accidentally, keeping your warp ends exactly where you put them even if you walk away for the night. If you want an extra layer of security, the included rubber bands can be added as a backup.

Yes — if you're warping a smaller loom on a table, simply having the raddle there to keep your warp ends separated and under control is a real benefit on its own. You don't have to clamp it to get value from it, especially for lighter-duty use or when you're working close by.

That's entirely up to you and your project. The nails are spaced 1" on center, so you can group however many ends make sense for your sett and weave structure. Many weavers group by the inch — matching their ends-per-inch to the nail spacing — but the raddle gives you full flexibility to separate any number of ends you choose.

The raddle body is made from premium hardwood with no finish applied — natural wood only. The locking dowel is maple. Every corner is finished with a 45° chamfer for a smooth, refined feel in hand. Built to the same standard as every tool that leaves my bench.

Each raddle ships complete and ready to use. The 12" raddle includes a hardwood body (1.25" × 16") with nails spaced 1" on center, a maple locking dowel (3/8"), and rubber bands. The 24" raddle includes a hardwood body (1.25" × 26") with nails spaced 1" on center, a maple locking dowel (3/8"), and rubber bands.
