The box is designed to protect and store compatible Mini Turkish Drop Spindle components when not in use.

Because this box is handcrafted from natural wood, variations in grain, color, figure, texture, and appearance are expected.


CAUTION — WOODEN STORAGE BOX

• This is a storage accessory for a fiber-spinning tool, not a toy

• Keep away from young children and pets

• Do not use the box for food, medication, or other unintended storage

• Do not sit, stand, or place excessive weight on the box

FRICTION-FIT LID

The lid is held in place by a friction fit.

There are no hinges, latches, magnets, or mechanical fasteners.

When opening or closing the box:

• Hold the box securely

• Lift or press the lid using controlled hand pressure

• Keep fingers clear of the lid edges while closing

• Do not force the lid if it becomes misaligned

• Do not pry the lid open with tools

Natural wood movement caused by changes in temperature or humidity may slightly alter the friction fit over time.


BEFORE EACH USE

Inspect the box before use.

Do not use the box if:

• The wood is cracked, split, severely warped, or structurally damaged

• The lid is cracked, split, or damaged

• The lid no longer fits securely enough for normal storage

• A hazardous splinter or damaged edge has developed

• Any damage could interfere with safe handling or storage


COMPATIBILITY

Use the box only for compatible Riley Wood and Fiber Art Mini Turkish Drop Spindle components.

Before placing spindle components inside, confirm that:

• The components fit normally

• Nothing must be forced into the box

• No component projects into the lid path

• The lid can close normally

Do not force oversized or incompatible spindle components into the box.


LOADING THE BOX

Before placing spindle components inside:

• Make sure the components are clean and dry

• Arrange the components so they fit without forcing

• Make sure no component extends into the lid path

• Confirm the lid can close normally

Do not force the lid closed over improperly positioned spindle components.


SAFE HANDLING

Carry the closed box by supporting the body of the box.

Do not rely on the friction-fit lid alone to support the weight of the box and its contents.

Before carrying or transporting the box:

• Confirm the lid is seated correctly

• Keep the box upright where practical

• Avoid sudden impacts or drops

If the friction fit becomes unusually loose, take additional care during transport.


NATURAL WOOD

Walnut is a natural material and may respond to changes in temperature and humidity.

Minor variations in:

• Grain

• Color

• Figure

• Texture

• Surface appearance

are expected.

Wood may expand or contract slightly with environmental changes, which can affect lid fit.

Do not force a temporarily tight lid.

Allow the box to acclimate to a normal indoor environment before repeated opening or closing.


CARE

• Keep the box clean and dry

• Do not soak or submerge the box in water

• Do not place the box in a dishwasher

• Do not use harsh cleaners, solvents, or chemicals

• Wipe with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth when necessary

• Allow the box to dry completely before closing if it becomes damp

• Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat, moisture, or direct sunlight


STORAGE

Store the box:

• In a clean, dry indoor location

• Away from excessive heat and moisture

• Away from open flames

• Protected from crushing and heavy impacts

• Where the lid cannot be accidentally knocked loose

• Away from young children and pets


DISCONTINUE USE

Stop using the box if:

• The wood cracks or splits

• The lid becomes structurally damaged

• Hazardous splinters develop

• The lid no longer closes or seats normally

• The box becomes significantly warped

• Any condition develops that could interfere with safe handling or storage
