The intricate carvings alone required nearly 22 hours to complete, with an additional 10 hours of CNC programming time to achieve the precise detail and dimensional accuracy. The periphery sun rays are not simply carved flat—they feature undulating surfaces that taper toward the wall, creating a truly three-dimensional effect that brings the ancient Aztec symbolism to life.

Constructed from premium laminated solid cherry wood built to approximately 1.25 inches thick, this piece offers both beauty and durability. The central Aztec sun stone medallion is carefully recessed half an inch into the cherry base, then secured and sealed with a crystal-clear epoxy resin pour. This resin finish not only protects the intricate carving but also creates an incredible depth and high-gloss sheen that enhances the visual impact of the design.
